Einstein said everything should be as simple as possible, but not simpler. So what’s the right kind of simple for the world’s most complex challenge?
I really appreciate one of the reasons listed for this type of distinguishing conversation: to “encourage necessary conversations between individuals and groups across these dimensions, with an emphasis on moving beyond unilateral (e.g. Science alone) or bi-lateral (e.g. Economy to Democracy) connections.” We’ve been talking about doing something about our changing climate for many years, but it seems nothing drastic enough is happening. Hopefully tackling the problem from these new perspectives will push us in the direction we need to go.
